Steve Saleen's Styling Studio is one of the most unique features I've ever seen in a racing game. I'd like to see it further expanded in a future version of the game.

The problem here is that the actual racing isn’t that much fun.

The game won’t be taking home trophies for the game play, which is the most serious of the game’s flaws.

Considering the unpolished feel of SSC and with alternatives like "Gran Turismo 3" providing a much more fulfilling experience, there are very few people I could recommend this game to.

In the end it's all about the racing and nothing here is that compelling.

Standard automotive thrills with a mildly amusing twist – vehicle design options.

The high-speed supercars featured in the game feel lifeless, the courses seem entirely too convoluted, and the physics are unexciting.

Racing around these various tracks in either the real of self-made supercars should be a lot more fun than this and it's a travesty that it isn't.

It’s your typical, run-of-the-mill racer with a unique “concept” and nothing more.

Definitely falls flat on its face with simplistic, arcade style gameplay and a lack of decent execution. Most certainly a bargain bin title, I wouldn’t even rent this one if I had the chance.

Here’s the kiss of death for a racing game... I didn’t find myself liking one car more than another...All of the SSC machines feel like a variation of a bumper car.

As a racing game, it's pretty much par for the course. You race, you win, you open stuff up...seen it before, thank you.

Boring (and maddeningly uninspired) techno music nips at your ears as you move through insanely limited and basic design elements to the car, and then race in a game that looks like someone finally figured out the hi-resolution mode on the Nintendo 64.

Stay far far away from this unfortunate mess.

The big kick in the eyes come with the laughable rain. Besides degrading the graphics to a PSX level, the rain only seems to fall in certain spots, like right over your car. It's as if there's a guy in a helicopter spraying water from above with a hose.
