Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack!!! is a perfect example and a showcase of what you can expect from well-designed, properly-priced downloadable games. Bigger developers may need to take note as well if they want us to pay full retail prices for their titles. Great job DrinkBox Studios!

Mutant Blobs Attack! isn't a game with many surprises up its sleeve, but within its designed simplicity it contains unbridled joy. It's a game that focuses on being fun first, and succeeds at that ambition.

Its refreshing take on platform-based gaming, humour, variety, challenge and polish are instantly - and enduringly - impressive. Not only is this one of the best games on the Vita, it's one of the best games of the year - period.

A one-eyed blob is the unlikely star of the Vita's launch lineup.

Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack may look like an unassuming LocoRoco rip-off, but in actuality it's Katamari Damacy with a demented undercurrent. This quirky platformer basks in the glory of 1950s science fiction films; all while offering a solid action/puzzler that feels right at home on the PS Vita!

Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack stole my heart. It's visually delicious, the cutscenes ooze with humor, and the actual gameplay feels perfectly balanced.

Mutant Blobs Attack is one of those games that absolutely hooks you from the moment you begin playing it and doesn't let go until the credits roll.

When all is said and done, this is an appropriately priced, raccous romp of a platformer. There's hidden goodies throughout each level and more than enough replayability. I guarantee you'll miss most of the jokes the first time through.

One of those games that will shine bright when people discuss the Vita's launch lineup. It is the Geometry Wars for Sony's portable and a game that anyone who enjoys the medium needs to check out. The price is right, the content is plentiful and the gameplay is top notch.

A great refinement to the first game and great at using the Vita features without being an impediment or feeling forced, Mutant Blobs Attack is the best value on the Vita right now, and a must-buy for most owners.

Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack is the best downloadable launch game for the PS Vita.

Not Escape Plan, but Tales From Space is the indie hit on the PlayStation Vita we've all been waiting for. A strange concoction of Katamari and Loco Roco that could have used a little bit more time and money for its visuals, but still shines because of its magnificent and pure gameplay.

Yet for a mere $8, we highly recommend this all-you-can-eat buffet of awesome.

Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack is one of the rare experiences where everything just clicks. The style, the feeling, the controls and the gameplay. If you are looking for a solid (or cheap) platformer for your priced PS Vita look no further. This one has everything going for it.

Quite possibly the best value on the Vita right now. This is a neat, fun platforming adventure at a great price.

Game Informer February 21, 2012
A new flying gameplay mode has players steer with the left analog stick and hit the X button to propel the blob like some wild rocket. Specific flying zones let you explore for pickups and also challenge you to maneuver through laser hazards and spike-filled tunnels. This gets extra tense when a creeping death wall gets thrown into the mix. It's a blast balancing speed boosts and the slower, fine movement propulsion to narrowly escape instant crushing death.

Now here's a nice surprise! A puzzle game with smooth controls, slick graphics and more than the necessary amount of variation. It's a little short, but don't let that stop you from buying it.

It reminds the puzzle game of the nineties with its immediate gameplay and its colorful graphic. It's a funny game and you'll appreciate it if you decide to take every single object trying to achieve the best score.

It's not a deep game by any stretch of the imagination, but if you're looking for some classic platforming fun, with an out-of-this-world twist and dirt cheap price tag, then Mutant Blobs Attack hits the sweet spot.
