The addition of a create-a-player mode and some sort of system link or On-line capabilities would have put TMS near the top of this genre. But kudos for a solid and exciting gaming experience.

Overall, this game performs like a solid pro baseliner - playing it safe, but hitting a majority of its shots in-bounds.

This is, simply put, a great tennis game in the vein of Tennis, where it's all about intuitive control and fun.

Tries to bring realism to a game that really should have more of a fun arcadey-fun feel to it. So if you’re into tennis in a big way and can overlook some of the funkiness of this game you may have found your match.

The lack of gameplay options also hurts Tennis Masters Series 2003, despite the fact that, fundamentally, it's a fairly sound game.

Even at $29.99 I have a hard time endorsing the game as a purchase due to the control issues and problematic AI.

True followers of the ATP will love the in-depth simulation of the pro tennis world, and any gamer who appreciates a well-designed, good-looking sports title will not be disappointed, either.

Not a bad game - there's just not enough here, and players may find themselves wishing for a match in Britain against and extraterrestrial blancmange, just to add a little bit of variety to the mix.

One of its best features is the detail to replicating a tennis simulation more so than an upbeat arcade-type of tennis.

This is a shame as the idea behind the Masters Series mode offers great depths, it’s just a shame the core gameplay is found wanting.
