With a fast and frantic single player with all the trimmings, plus the voice and image of Arnie, I can't complain one bit.

Each character is strikingly similar in appearance to the movie actors.

Focuses on what it wants to be, and it does it very well. Terminator fans have a reason to smile, and this game is money well spent for them.

Surpisingly but appealingly worth your time and money.

Not only is it the best Arnold or Terminator-themed game ever (which isn't saying all that much), but it's also one of the best licensed games around.

Stuff June 13, 2024
While the hand-to-hand stuff won't win any awards, the deep selection of vehicles (from pickup trucks to high-tech battle tanks) and the frenetic pace of the game more than make up for it.

Quite enjoyable although nothing particularly innovative.

It's pretty much what you'd expect from a trip to see this kind of fare at your local Odeon – lots of noise, lots of effects, dialogue kept to a minimum – it's a real rollercoaster of a ride (damn, that's a cliché if ever I wrote one.)

Besides a few ideas that are executed poorly, the gameplay is varied, making it a fun experience. But its biggest problem is amount of gameplay, which is limited.

A great improvement over "Rise of the Machines," and actually better than some games in a few ways, but still not in the higher ranking levels of current games.

While there are times when much of what you do feels repetitious at times, the fast pace and challenging enemies will keep you more than busy.

GameSpot June 13, 2024
Manages to serve up a nice variety of ways to shoot the hell out of a lot of cyborgs as well as to keep things fresh and interesting throughout its relatively short, but still enjoyable 14 missions.

Quickly surmised, it's attractive, intense, and challenging, and for more dedicated gamers who looking to give their thumbs a workout despite a linear pathway, The Redemption is definitely worth a look.

Great visuals and exciting gameplay warrant an eye out for a reduced price, but annoying AI and linear levels keep this title from the borderline of must-have-ness. A difficult one to rate, this; not superb, not average. Just in-between. And a credit to movie tie-ins.

Xbox Nation Magazine June 13, 2024
Mired in repetition and some substantial balancing issues, a good deal of its simplistic charm dissipates after a short time.

Next Level Gaming June 13, 2024
While the game itself is short, the levels are pretty long; and there are no checkpoints at all! This is a massive pet peeve of mine.

Gamezilla! June 13, 2024
A fun romp through a film that many of us love, giving gamers a chance to take on the role of a seminal bad guy turned good guy in a game that isn't bad, but isn't great either.

Direct correlation to the movie, plus a few added extras, will give you the feeling that you are a part of the action, and using the dual controls to the fullest, this game won't leave you feeling terminated.

Game Chronicles June 13, 2024
While fun at times, Redemption quickly gets tedious and repetitive with its unforgiving, "win or die and try again" design. If you are a true masochist then Atari is ready to make you its little bitch.

Now, it's possible that this game only looks as great as it does because the game it's following set those expectations so abysmally low, but even without taking that into consideration, it's still an incredibly fun game.
