We are clear that Terminator: Resistance does not come to compete with the great first-person shooter, but to demonstrate the possibilities offered by a title based on the universe of John Connor. Fans of the saga already have a title with which to face Skynet.

Terminator: Resistance is not perfect - not by a long shot. The AI is almost catastrophically dumb for the most part and the array of pseudo open-world systems that it borrows would appear to be done better elsewhere. However, Terminator: Resistance also succeeds by being the first licensed title in a long time to properly craft an effective and emotional homage to a movie franchise that has deserved much better. Though faint praise, Terminator: Resistance is the best Terminator game in an age and one of the best guilty pleasures of the year.

Terminator: Resistance doesn’t have a big budget behind it, and its shortcomings are obvious. If you’re not bothered about the license, there are many games out there that are a better option, but if you really want to play a game based on the movie, it can be interesting.

Terminator: Resistance is reminiscent of the days when tie-in games were released with practically every action movie. It's playable, but it's forgettable. It's fun to get your chance to shoot Terminators in the face and see John Connor being John Connor (instead of the mess he became in the various sequels), but beyond that, there's not much to recommend it. If you're a die-hard Terminator fan who is eager for a chance to visit the future of the original movies, then it might be worth a go. It's difficult to recommend for anyone else, though.

Terminator: Resistance is the kind of shooter-meets-RPG hybrid you've seen a dozen times before, and isn't a particularly impressive one. But everything it does, it does well enough to pass. I can't bring myself to hate Terminator: Resistance, I think it's a fun, cheesy game, but I also wouldn't be able to forgive myself if I recommended that anyone bought it at full price.

Terminator: Resistance provides a quite enjoyable experience as long as you're not a too demanding fan of the famous franchise and post apo universe ready to overlook a certain amount of issues.

A pretty decent game, at least for what we were expecting, but it doesn't stand out in any respect. Fans of the Terminator franchise will enjoy the story, characters and setting, but there are similar and better games on the market right now.

This is not the Terminator game you have been waiting for. However, in a world that has subjected the license to countless sloppy video game adaptations, Terminator: Resistance shines among them as a beacon of hope. Teyon won't win any awards for this, but there is a clear love for the Terminator franchise and plenty of effort to back it up. Which is more than can be said about most licensed games, past and present.

Terminator: Resistance is an old-school, low budget shooter that does not shine in any of its game mechanics, and offers a weak and uninspired experience, even for long-time Terminator fans.

Terminator: Resistance is a title that hardly reaches the sufficient rating, in all its aspects; but Terminator fans could still have fun for a few hours.

Terminator Resistance is a B game as they are hardly ever made these days. Many of the ambitious ideas are nowhere to be seen, but despite that the game is just perfectly playable and entertaining.

Terminator: Resistance is a simple tie-in, but it doesn't push the boundaries as much other entries in the genre.

Despite feeling out of date in one too many key areas, Terminator: Resistance manages to serve up a campaign just about worthy enough for those looking to switch their brain off and enjoy some mindless action. Its efforts to heighten the importance of relationships and interactions go a long way to differentiating the experience but held back by technical deficiencies, the vision isn’t quite fully realised.

A rather bad experience with a total lack of any interest in both its gameplay and story, accompanied by aging graphics.

Moments of fan service and an ambition to do more than simple shooting can’t overshadow the aged feeling of Terminator: Resistance.

The result, however, is a jumble of mechanics that offers nothing really convincing, framed by a very low level technical realization.

It’s weak. It’s unambitious. It takes a license and slaps it on a distinctly average game. And then stomps on the best bits of the license so all that’s left is the cool-looking T-800 and some vague references. What’s the weakest definition of terminate? To stop. Just stop. Target stopped. The Stoppernator.

Terminator: Resistance’s authentic looks fail to disguise its uninspired design and forgettable action.

For a title set far into the future, Terminator: Resistance remains disappointingly locked into the past. With lackluster design, story, dialogue, AI, and combat, Terminator: Resistance is a genre example generations out of time.
