Tiny Brains is the definition of accessibility with depth, and especially for new Playstation 4 owners, it’s a great justification for stocking up on DualShock 4 controllers.

Although its core campaign is far too short, the game is a blast with other players, and the wide variety of challenges should keep you playing for hours.

Looking for a worthwhile on-the-couch multiplayer game? Tiny Brains delivers with its fun puzzle-based story mode and score-driven challenge modes.

Tiny Brains has delivered the best multiplayer experience I have had on the PS4 so far, and brings me back to the fun co-op days of Scott Pilgrim and Castle Crashers.

If you have a crew of friends ready to do some co-op puzzling, Tiny Brains is probably for you; you’ll have a good time, even if you want to punch your buddies by the end...If you’re going it solo, maybe take a pass.

While not perfect, or particularly next-gen beautiful, Tiny Brains does offer up some intellectually stimulating puzzles. The addition of co-op definitely makes it a solid purchase.

It's accessible and adorably illustrated. It has a streak of dark humor embedded in its cast of Frankenstein furballs, and it's just relaxed enough to let its physics-driven puzzles slide out of control every once in a while, giving its challenges a spark that chores don't have.

Trading powers with scientifically enhanced critters is a ton of fun across Tiny Brains’ various puzzle rooms and combat arenas. But once the brief story campaign has been completed, there is little reason to play beyond the extra half-hour of unlocked challenges and Tiny Soccer matches.

Cooperative puzzles are the core of this game, which offer incredible fun if you have three friends, but it’s just average if you are alone.

Problems aside, Tiny Brains is an undeniably enjoyable experience. While it may not amaze you, it’ll definitely be worth your time if you and a few friends are looking to have a go at a co-op puzzle experience that isn’t extremely demanding.

Still, if you have some friends over or some online buddies that have the game and want to have a decent time solving puzzles while trying not to kill one another, Tiny Brains offers some decent fun.

Tiny Brains is a game that isn't so much improved by co-op as made for it.

Engaging cooperative puzzles and local co-op are reasons to consider an otherwise indistinct game that's over way too quickly.

A promising but not-quite-there effort from indie newcomers Spearhead Games, Tiny Brains offers decent couch co-op fun, but suffers from technical issues and some uneven design.

Tiny Brains is short, messy, and relies heavily on reusing its ideas, but it's also a funny and clever little game that can delight as much as dismay.

Just like Facebook and instant soup, this experiment is very much what you make of it.

It may be too short, but it attempts to make up for that with a decent variety of extra modes and a very well implemented group dynamic.

Moments of interesting presentation appear here and there, but too many other aspects of Tiny Brains are sloppy and incomplete.

Maybe consider it if/when the game gets a significant discount, but until that day, pass.

Some good ideas cannot rescue all these Tiny Brains from their cruel destiny: this is a poor puzzle game with shallow visuals and a lack of personality.
