What sets Ghost Recon apart from other squad based shooters is its command map.

Even if you’re not a subscriber to the Xbox Live service, this game packs quite a punch with plenty of modes and missions.

Simply spectacular.

The gameplay is very nice, but we’re lacking seriously in the visuals department. While the levels are huge, there is this thick fog around most of them.

The mix of stealth, assault, night-time and other types of missions means that things never get repetitive.

It's nice to see that developers taking the time to make this game true to Tom Clancy's vision.

The simplification of the controls from the PC version to the XBOX version makes it much more accessible to those that are unfamiliar with the Rainbow Six/Ghost Recon games.

A thinking person's shooter, and provides some solid, tense gameplay... The single player mode is good, the multiplayer outstanding.

Its slow pace, one-hit kills, and ugly graphics may turn off some gamers, but those willing to put some time and effort into the game will find a rewarding first-person shooter.

Dated visuals, inconsistent AI, and lack of dynamic enemy placement cost it a few points. With that said, if you’re looking for an engaging and thoughtful shooter for the Xbox, I highly recommend you add Ghost Recon to your arsenal.

A little sluggish in the graphical department. While in no way is this game painful to look at there are just some minor things that kept it from being a visually stunning title.

The need to command troops might not suit everyone, or the slower, more measured approach to combat. But if you want a unique war game for your console, Ghost Recon is your only choice.

Surprisingly, there is very little graphical degradation that I could detect, and the control scheme has been shunted over to the Xbox controller with a decent amount of effectiveness.

Though the Xbox version has a very fun multiplayer mode, Ghost Recon has a lot to offer solo players even after the game's 15 missions are completed.

It would have been nice if the game had updated graphics and better squad AI, but as it is, this is a great game nonetheless.

If you like Tom Clancy, first person shooters and outdoor combat, this game is a must buy!

Its unwavering adherence to tactical gameplay will exclude a number of quick twitch gamers, but for those with a little patience, this is a solid, engrossing port.

It's fun. Not mind-blowing, but fun.

Although it's by no means a cakewalk, Ghost's single-player campaign works as sort of a live fire exercise for the real deal on Xbox Live.

There's not much of a graphical upgrade from the PC version, but the interface and audio is improved. Goes great with Xbox live.
