As good as "Tomb Raider 1" was, 2 is twice as good!

Even at its most frustrating lower points, Tomb Raider 2 satisfies, and when at it's peak of effectiveness, the game is a soaring masterpiece.

A masterpiece... I loved every single minute of it and I'm off to start again to find all of the secrets.

An enthralling giant of a game, packed with countless delights (not forgetting the superb dramatic music) and a mammoth challenge to keep you playing for weeks on end, at the least.

Tweaks to gameplay, visuals, and controls make this action-packed sequel a winner.

Takes everything that was good about the original game and adds a better variety of levels, vehicles, new weapons, and better graphics.

It offers loads of action, miles of ground to explore, great locales, an interesting story (that develops as you play with cut-scenes and is not just hastily thrown in to flesh out the manual), wonderful control and a lot of bang for your buck.

It's the sequel's addition of vehicles and more diverse locatins that make it the best of the series.

Definitely a great game, but it was just so tough in spots. I fear that many gamers will tire of getting stuck all the time and not want to continue.

Lara is still beautiful, the gameplay is still great, the action will still make your heart skip a beat. It's just not quite as good as the first one, and it's no longer a new and amazing type of game.

Tomb Raider 2 is also very hard. This, however, can be good or bad, depending on how you like your games. Be prepared to spend a lot of time with this girl -- it's not a walk in the park.

Everything a fan of the original could hope for. Just don't expect to feel you're playing a whole new game.

Most of Tomb Raider II's improvements are cosmetic, and even those aren't really anything special.
