It's a rare thing when a company wants to roll the dice with a valued property, and the results sometimes turn out great. In this case, not so much.

A shadow of its former success, this is little more than a limited showcase for a peripheral.

A lacking package that players would do well to ignore; especially since the DSi (and lack of GBA port for the new motion pack) is on its way in a matter of months.

Someday, somebody is going to make something fun out of this concept, but the folks making this game haven't gotten there yet.

There's less meat on this than a turkey carcass after Boxing Day.

Saddled with poor visuals, ineffective controls and a complete lack of engaging content, Tony Hawk's Motion is a crushing disappointment .

A poorly produced game with little to offer any Tony Hawk fan.

But decent tech is all for naught when paired with a bland and embarrassingly brief experience like Tony Hawk's Motion, which contains just four settings (two each for skate and snow), each with five total objectives.

Since you can pretty much exhaust the available gameplay within half an hour of switching the DS on, it seems likely that this curiously half-baked compilation was simply a way for Activision to use the Tony Hawk brand to get their motion sensing peripheral into the market. Yet so flimsy are the games that it feels like they simply bundled the internal tech demos designed to test the hardware and dressed it up as a commercial game.

Not even a bonus game, the paint-by-numbers Hue Pixel Painter, can save this mess. Avoid this Motion sickness at all costs.
