Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power is a worthy successor to the first two games in the series. The addition of 3D environments, while a bit tricky at first, ends up enhancing the experience. There are still a few quirks, such as camera angles or some complex platforming sequences, but overall it's still a blast to play through the new title, both for veterans as well as newcomers.

It may not be quite as good as the previous titles and some gameplay problems exist, but it draws us back in repeatedly - even to replay earlier levels for the pure enjoyment of them.

The third dimension did really good for Trine, refreshing a gameplay that was starting to miss something new.

Trine 3 is a great game although it has some minor problems and a cliffhanger ending. The fans of the series cannot go wrong with it... the magic is still there.

Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power makes a good long story short. It even ends to a cliff-hanger which isn’t nice.

In spite of a short lifespan and a not so great ending, Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power is still a game to own thanks to its amazing gameplay and its sublime artistic touch.

Most if its initial problems of technical nature are now addressed and Trine 3 truly shines. It may be the shortest Trine to date, but its probably the most beautiful one.

It may not quite master its new perspective, but Trine 3 is still a charming, light-hearted romp that’s well worth your time.

Trine 3 is so charming and visually awesome like its predecessors, but the new 3D perspective brings a more simplistic gameplay. It still is a great adventure puzzle game, but less than we expected.

It is a good game, and definitely a step forward for the franchise, but at the same time the ambition of this episode has taken its toll on the experience, and leaves it feeling somehow unfinished.

Frozenbyte give us a third installment on the Trine saga with good attributes, but also significant gaps compared with the two previous installments.

You will definitely love Trine 3's great art style, impressive puzzles and pretty music list. But sad fact: everything will end in a few hours.

Compared to the two predecessors, something has been lost along the way, but the mix of action, puzzle and platformer continues to entertain and the graphics are simply gorgeous.

Artifacts of Power hits most of the right marks. There are some wonderfully creative physics based puzzles, multiplayer support, and breathtaking graphics. There's even some nice humor in the game, like when Amadeus briefly tries to explain why getting into the Wizard's Academy is so weird and difficult...At the same time, there's a feeling that the game lost something when it went fully 3D.

Trine 3 is probably one of the most beautiful games you'll ever see. For the first time in the Trine series you can now navigate in three dimensions in this game. Maneuvering in three dimensions never feels forced but stays a gimmick throughout the game. It's a fairly short game, but the content and entertainment you get out of the four or five hour it takes to complete the game gives great value for your money.

With a bit more time, this could have been a great game. But now it's just a hint of what could have been.

In the end, the bad camera and the glitchy nature of Trine 3 just get in the way of a game that otherwise screams ‘huge potential’.

It’s not the shortness of its campaign that makes Trine 3 a bad investment. It’s the abruptness of its ending and the distinct feeling, both plot-wise and in terms of glitches and bugs: this game is not finished.
