As attractive in motion as it is in design, Unmechanical is a majestic 2.5D puzzler.

Unmechanical provides players with addictive and mind-perplexing puzzles, in addition to both a charming and atmospheric presentation. Stunning visuals and a captivating soundtrack combine for one of the best looking and sounding independent games in recent history. Unfortunately, the gameplay experience of Unmechanical suffers from the lack of a proper narrative and details on the game's setting and characters.

Unmechanical delivers a unique puzzle/ platforming experience along with quite an inspired art direction. If you're looking for something different and cheap (but, mind you, quite short) then this game is for you.

It's charming, well planned and its atmosphere and gameplay won't let
you go until you finish it up. Once you are done with it, you won't
complain about its short length –you will be happy because you've
enjoyed such a experience. It is not very original, but if you're a
puzzle-based adventure games fan, it's a must-have.

The only downside of Unmechanical is that it's quite a linear experience and it's a little too short. However for the price, it's definitely worth investigating if you're looking for a a fun yet sometimes frustrating puzzler. Recommended!

Unmechanical could have made more of an effort on its storytelling to get us somewhere. But the puzzles are good, even though they remain simple, and the game's gorgeous. More than enough to be happy.

The only real problem with the length is the pacing, with no indication given that you're on the last area and solving the final puzzle until, surprise!, end credits. It's analagous to reading a review that, while technically it's said everything it needs to, simply comes to a stop.

Like Like so many indie games hitting the market these days, Unmechanical has found yet another way to break the platformer mold and offer up a hefty amount of puzzle solving gameplay for a small price. For the adventures in this title, you will take on the role of a small robot with a propeller and a limited range tractor beam.

This is a charming puzzler with a unique setting and varied tasks. But is also rather short and a little too easy.

Unmechanical dazzles with its gorgeous artwork and smart physics-based puzzle, but its ending is ultimately unsatisfactory.

Playing Unmechanical is a very pleasant experience. You get from one puzzle to another and try very hard to come up with a solution – what needs to be moved, pressed, stacked or opened to progress. Unfortunately, the end comes too quickly. The whole game will take up to 4 hours for a skilled player. There are a few ways to get to the finale, but still Unmechanical leaves you wanting more. Perhaps it is so, because a longer gameplay would become frustrating? It's hard to say.

Unmechanical is a great puzzle game. Every aspect of the game is well balanced and the player has always the freedom to solve puzzles in lots of ways, avoiding annoyance.

The journey through Unmechanical's underground complex is an engaging and enriching experience.

A nice, short little puzzle that entertains for five hours and shows a good use of the Unreal Engine.

Graphics aside, it's a short and sweet adventure that's a fun way to spend a few hours, but nothing to write home about. The puzzles are interesting while they last but are done and forgotten very quickly. There's no bigger picture or point to solving the puzzles other than to get to the next one, and that isn't quite enough for me to say it's a great game.

Thanks to a generally well done puzzle design, the Swedish game Unmechanical offers good entertainment that manages to stick out in the crowd of indie games despite a few borrowed concepts.

Unmechanical is a pretty and pleasant puzzler, though it doesn't make a lasting impression.

Unmechanical is a puzzle games that offers a pretty, but all too familiar experience of solving difficult puzzles in order to advance through a subterranean underworld. Easy and minimalistic controls make the game easy enough to pick up for gamers of any skill level, but some of the more complex puzzles may put them off or force them to seek out solutions. If it's a challenge you seek, Unmechanical will give it to you.

Cosy 2.5D puzzler comes with a plethora of creative tasks and a visually stunning world. The shortness is its only weakness.
