The Until Dawn system requirements and support for Dualsense and Ultrawide haptics is here.

Until Dawn, a PlayStation exclusive, will be coming to PC in a month's time. This is just a few months after its PS4 launch. It's a branching story about a group young people trapped in an awful situation, in a remote location. This is a classic setting for horror. Sony has released details about the PC version of the game, which will be released at the same time as the revamped PS5 edition. The good news is that PC compatibility was not an afterthought.

Upscaling with Nvidia DLSS 3 or AMD FSR 3 will make the port shine, and ultrawide support allows for more gratuitous gore to be displayed on screen at once. Ultrawide zealots will be pleased to know that 32:9 and 21:9 aspect ratios can be used, as well as the option to run in "free" mode. Aspect ratio radicals don't have to worry about annoying black bars.

PC users will also enjoy ray-traced reflections, ambient occlusion and adaptive triggers that simulate firearm discharges. Uncanny pulses simulate (often waning heartbeats). The framerate is also uncapped.

Here are the system requirements.

Supermassive Games is behind Until Dawn. They also developed The Quarry and the Dark Moon Pictures series and, rather unexpectedly, are developing the next installment in the Little Nightmares Series (which I played recently and enjoyed). This modern remaster is the work of Ballistic Moon. The company was recently hit by a round of layoffs.

God of War Ragnarok, a forlorn & angry dad simulator, will be the next Sony exclusive to make the leap.
