Urban Champion Critic Reviews

Urban Champion is by no means a great game, but if you're willing to shell out $4.99, it can be a fun diversion when you just don't have a lot of time to sink into more robust titles.

The release of Urban Champion as a 3D Classic makes us wonder if Nintendo has gone stark raving mad.

It might be simple, repetitive and nowhere near worth the asking price, but Urban Champion is a pleasant enough retro diversion for half an hour or so.

While you can teach an old dog new tricks, it's still a dog.

Apparently, Nintendo had to revisit Urban Champion at least once. We should all be happy that's out of the way now, hoping that true classics show up next in the eShop as 3D Classics.

Skip over 3D Classics: Urban Champion. Urban Champion is not a classic, it never was, and 3D is entirely wasted on it.

The 3DS edition, like Excitebike and Xevious before it, displays in glasses free 3D, including a new camera angle that offers more depth, but it falls flat. A bunch of buildings sit in the background, offering little to no eye candy. It's a huge waste of resources.
