Filled with enough chaos and wicked humor to forgive the slight reliance on platform clichés, Whiplash really is a hell of a game. With a little more polish before release, this game could have been a true masterpiece.

It's not insta-classic material, but it is a fun game that exhibits solid gameplay and a good sense of humor.

Its humorous tone and extremely satisfying random destruction really make it worth playing.

Whiplash's style takes it a long way; hell, any title with the power to make PETA smile and fume at the same time has got something going.

It's addictive, funny, and will make you feel more than a little sad when it's over.

There are flashes of comic genius in Whiplash, but equally as many missed opportunities. While this game is good, it narrowly misses the mark.

Look past some simplistic visual designs and enjoy the bright, unique style the artists have worked into Whiplash and you'll find a solid game that entertains after you've had your fill with the holiday A-lists.

Only a single player game with not much to offer in comparison to better known platform franchises.

It hits the nail on the head in terms of entertainment. It may be very familiar, it may not be the best of its genre, but it is excellent mindless fun.

The inclusion of a role-playing-like level system adds a small amount of depth to an otherwise shallow title.

While I love Whiplash's over-the-top concept and humor, its gameplay and graphics languish in a sea of averageness.

It doesn't have depth or any mind-blowing mechanics, but the destroy-everything-in-sight gameplay is more rewarding than you'd expect.

A decent foundation for a possible series. Unfortunately, lackluster navigation, combat maneuvers and repetitious sound effects, amongst other slights weaken this game significantly.

Coupling some jokes that get old and haggard with an assortment of repetitive running and jumping tasks makes for a disappointing experience.

There's a surreal sweetness to Spanx and Redmond that makes everything in this game very enjoyable.

Its not long before you realise you're pretty much just running around the level bashing things senselessly, interspersed with the good humour just to make sure you don't fall asleep.

Lead characters aside, another element that makes Whiplash so amusing is Genron itself. Although animal testing is hardly a subject to be laughed at, the game gets away with making fun of it because it's the humans themselves that are portrayed as being dumb animals.

There was an obvious attempt at dispensing some decent puzzles and plenty of skewed humor and while the humor works, the overall game just doesn’t.

Visually, things are on the sloppy side. The collision detection is awful and there’s a distinct lack of detail to practically everything including the menus, which are rendered in fuzzy detail.

There are hundreds of more interesting games to play rather than waste your time on something as average as Whiplash.
