If you're frustrated by some of the racing games out there that make you feel as though you've hit a brick wall by the fourth level, then Whiteout is the game for you.

It isn't exactly groundbreaking, but Whiteout plays well and offers a good-looking experience.

Whiteout's effective controls and straightforward design let it achieve its comparatively modest goals.

The overall experience is just so average. At no point when playing WhiteOut will you ever be wowed into silence or stunned into submission, you will shrug, curl a lip and say: "Well, y'know, it is only twenty quid."

The controls are nicely responsive, but they're too tight and not subtle enough to make the racing aspect any fun.

Whiteout's technical and creative deficiencies keep it from being recommendable to anyone.

It is not unique or special in any way, shamelessly biting the style of other, more polished titles. Erasing this game from your memory is probably a good idea.
