Despite the minor aesthetic flaws, World Racing 2 is a success in terms of improvement over its predecessor. The lack of an in-car view with full cockpit might leave some hardcore fans slightly disappointed, but the other features of the game more than make up for that loss.

The graphics are wonderful, the action is quick and can be tense, and the game can be enjoyed in short spurts of time. This is a racer that fans of the genre should check out.

It felt fresh. It wasn't as limiting as open wheel track games, nor as repetitive as a NASCAR game, or as vulnerable as motorcycle games usually are.

It’s altogether an attractive package that will appeal both to racers who love precision and to gamers who thrive on panic.

World Racing 2 has very nice freeform tracks. If you miss a turn, you miss it. The AI is a bit questionable, though.

It's a fun Racing game, one of the most fun I have seen on PC in quite some time. If you like racing games and you have a computer then this is a game you might want to take a look at.

I found World Racing 2 a huge letdown having been looking forward to this sequel for so long. I expected it to be a step forward, not seem like a step back.

I’d confidently recommend this game to anyone with a computer and some free time.

However, while the game has lots of graphical polish, it can be highly lacking in a many gameplay areas, which limit it to being average in the overall scheme of things. It caters to fans of realistic European racing, but its appeal to everyone else will be highly limited at best.

World Racing 2 makes a couple of key improvements on its predecessor, but it's still a substandard effort.
