If more work had been put into balancing the combat portion of the game Wrath Unleashed would have received almost a full point higher score for being a complete title.

Definitely a thinkers game. And it's something we don't have a whole lot of these days.

One part strategy, one part fighting, with a tasty dressing of polished design. Ageing PC enthusiasts have seen similar in Arcon Ultra and similar games, but for everyone else Wrath Unleashed is an envigoratingly fresh title with a unique look and epic feel.

A pretty solid game with only one major downside: load times.

Wrath's only problems are small but important: Loading unfortunately breaks up the game's pacing, the fighting engine could be deeper, and there's no online mode.

While I can think of plenty of minor tweaks and improvements that would make this game even better, as is, Wrath Unleashed is a bold and innovative concept that will delight both strategy and action gamers who enjoy challenging gameplay, fantasy creatures, spells, and sexy goddesses.

Don't lose your patience with this game, otherwise you'll be missing out on some good, old-fashioned, nerd-approved fun.

The turn-based strategy offers quite a bit of challenge but the fighting should be just right, with just enough different characters to keep you going.

A solid title. The AI can sometimes be frustratingly stubborn, and the battles can take a long, long time to complete, but there's plenty to like here.

I’d give this a strong rent/weak buy suggestion if you’re just out for single player, but it’s one to pick up if you have fantasy n’ fightin’ lovin’ friends.

Its aspects of action, while moderately engaging, are wholly unbalanced; in addition, the elements of strategy are watered-down for ease of play. Nevertheless, Wrath Unleashed plays much better as a multiplayer game.

While you might not complete Wrath Unleashed in a weekend, it's possible that it won't hold your attention for too much longer. Although Wrath does what it does very well, it suffers from a lack of ambition.

The only problem is that LucasArts didn’t take the ultimate risk and create strictly a strategy game, because the fighting aspects sink this game faster than an ogre mage in quicksand.

Both demanding and highly enjoyable at the same time, thus making this a love-it-or-hate-it type of game.

The strategy is intricate, the creatures are totally awesome, but some sketchy execution on the combat side of thigs keeps Wrath Unleashed from oattaining immortality.

The concept and the creatures, not to mention the turn-based gameplay could’ve infused the strategy genre with a shot of adrenaline that it sorely needed.

The game's not ideal on every level, but it's good enough on all of them so that it should provide an entertaining experience and a decent amount of replay value for those who enjoy equal parts methodical strategy and button-mashing mayhem.

Xbox Live support would have made this a must-buy, but it's still worht the money if you have friends to share it with.

The game's main "problem" is that it badly needs four players. I say "problem" because that's only a problem if you don't have three friends to play with.

What's in the game is pretty compelling for the right type of gamer who knows exactly what they're in for and has buddies well versed in the same type of gameplay. Too bad, because with a little Live play this could've been a contenda.
