As for any other problems…basically, it really all comes down to what you're expecting to do with the game. Again, Xblaze Code: Embryo is a visual novel, and it takes that descriptor very seriously.

If you’re a fan off the BlazBlue series, pick up a copy. If not, then you may want to avoid it unless a visual novel is exactly the experience you’re looking for.

XBlaze - Code: Embryo isn't the most offensive visual novel I've ever played, but it's ultimately dragged down by a lackluster story, dull characters, and the infuriating TOi system.

All in all, you're left with a visually appealing visual novel that doesn't really have a strong enough protagonist to carry it.

XBlaze would be thoroughly unremarkable if not for its utter—and possibly record-breaking—contempt for the player. If you're interested in visual novels as a genre, the Vita has a handful of titles significantly better than this one. And if you're somehow compelled to explore the rich back story of the BlazBlue universe, there's always fan fiction.
