Zombie Driver is a tour de force of vehicular undead destruction, proving that when Mad Max meets The Walking Dead only creative killing can occur.

Zombie Driver: Immortal Edition on Switch provides simple fun that can get a little repetitive if played for too long, yet you’ll want return to it time and time again.

The game is a lot of fun and its perfect for a system that can be used in handheld mode. This is the type of game that you'll definitely want to take on trips for some fast pick up and play type of action. Zombie Driver gets repetitive at times, but it's always fun to come back to. It's definitely a worthy pickup for shooter fans and fans of vehicular combat. I'd also recommend this to Dead Rising fans since it provides a similar type of zombie killing addiction that Dead Rising offers - only without the melee weapons and dress-up of course.

Zombie Driver is everything you’d expect from a game called Zombie Driver – zombies and driving and guts splattered all over your screen. Its great.

Zombie Driver: Immortal Edition is one of those games that’s terrific to have sitting on the SD card of your Switch. It’s a great little game to go in and play a level or two every now and then. This is not to say that you can’t spend hours playing it; you can. It just doesn’t get its hooks into you in the way I would like. A little more variation in mission type and more visually defined areas (e.g., snow or a skyscraper-filled business district) would have gone a long way.

With so many ways to virtually kill zombies, playing Zombie Driver in this day and age offers little more than shallow albeit satisfying fun.

While its combat mechanics certainly need improvement, the game's repetitiveness ends up being less of a burden than it might seem at first and Zombie Driver - Immortal Edition can be an enjoyable work for fans of driving games who don't see multiplayer and online gaming as priorities.

Zombie Driver: Immortal Edition is an amusing distraction that is elevated thanks to the generous amounts of unlockable content. The main campaign will never get anyone emotionally invested, but then why would anyone hope to care about characters in something titled Zombie Driver? The developers knew exactly who their audience is. This is pure zombie schlock for people who are fans of the Splatterhouse games. An unapologetically gory, arcade-like experience.

Blowing apart hundreds of zombies has a mindless appeal and seeing hundreds of zombies roam the streets can impress. However, these thrills are fleeting since Zombie Driver never evolves beyond its dated scope. Take the next cab to one of the many superior zombie-filled destinations.

Overall, Zombie Driver: Immortal Edition misses a lot of opportunities and manages only to deliver repetition, failing even a basic level of entertainment. I won’t be driving back to this city anytime soon.

Zombie Driver is bad. In almost every conceivable way. It never really hits the mark on anything it attempts, leaving the player with a frustrating mess of interchangeable missions, a map that’s a chore to navigate, sluggish controls, and a story that you’ll forget before you hit the X button to close the software. You’d probably have more fun in a real zombie apocalypse.
