Zombie Rollerz: Pinball Heroes is the perfect mix of pinball and roguelike games, with tons of zombies to defeat. Full of non-stop action, tons of unlockables, and a fun colourful artstyle, this is a game you absolutely have to play!

Zombie Rollerz: Pinball Heroes is the best indie surprise of the year so far. Its combination of pinball action, strategic roguelike structure, and cartoony goofiness is just great for anyone who loves having fun with their video games.

It will not disappoint, and won’t ever end so quickly! Especially because there are so many levels, items to collect, scores to earn, and there are so many fun and exciting characters to choose from. Plus, such great graphics, plenty of action, and enticing music that plays in the background make this game so entertaining.

Zombie Rollerz: Pinball Heroes is a stress-free experience with enough challenge to give you an adrenaline rush. It is super easy to shoot pinballs, target meteors, and throw axes at zombies. You can choose to scrape by and advance to the next battle, but it is a delightful feeling when you receive a good ranking. Most people are familiar with pinball, so understanding how the flippers work almost comes naturally. Zombie Rollerz doesn’t require brain power to enjoy and some of the choices you make will lead to random outcomes anyway. It isn’t as easy as it looks, but it doesn’t take long to get into the rhythm of things and send zombies flying.

Sure, you can probably find a better pure game of pinball, and all the roguelite caveats apply here. The procedural generation can swing for or against you, and things can get a little repetitive after a while. But broadly speaking, this bit of pinball with a purpose offers up plenty of fun zombie smashing and loot gathering to keep you whacking away for hours on end. Zombie Rollerz: Pinball Heroes has its tongue in its cheek and its hand on… someone or something’s heart, and that’s good enough for me.

The game revives the traditional principles of pinball machines with aspects of other genres. The RPG component with the progress and development of the hero is nicely combined with the proven mechanism of pinball tables.

While some of the wood-and-metal pinball tables are true mechanical marvels, video game environment allows for a far richer experience, with actual enemies, leveling up, items and even a nice storyline.

The game starts off as a novelty, but the pinball gameplay soon dissolves into a mass of explosions and zombies.

Zombie Rollerz: Pinball Heroes is much more fun than I ever thought it would be; however, it doesn’t do enough to hold my attention any more than a handful of battles and doesn’t do enough with those battles to make me want to come back. Couple this with the random generation that only hinders your progression, and you have a frustrating game that is only working against you.

Zombie Rollerz: Pinball Heroes is not a game I can really recommend. Whether you’re a fan of rogue-lites or pinball games, there are numerous options out there that will provide vastly better experiences for your money. Whilst it does have an admittedly interesting concept, a complete lack of balance and poor optimization completely squanders any potential this unique hook might hold.
