" data-widget-type="deal" data-render-type="editorial">If you have upgraded or purchased a new PC within the last few years, and your specs are capable of running 4K games, you may have been put off initially by the prohibitive cost of a 4K display. A deal today shows how things have only become more affordable over time.
Gigabyte's M28U monitor is the most affordable option on our list of best 4K gaming displays. It offers excellent performance as well as value. This is the best budget option, and now that it's only $400 at Amazon, it's even better.
This 4K monitor was originally launched at $600. It has a 144Hz refresh rate, a 1 ms reaction time, and FreeSync Premium. This ensures incredibly smooth and consistent performance. Although not the brightest, it's plenty bright for a gaming setup.
This IPS panel has a beautiful design and is perfect for gaming. Its stand, however, is a bit cheap. Although not slow out of box, you will need to use an overdrive mode in order to achieve a 1 ms reaction time. This can cause some artefacts to appear on the screen. You're looking at a response time of 2 ms without it, which isn’t bad, but is the only real downside to buying a display at this price.
You may need to upgrade your graphics card if you want to play the latest 4K games. Or, at the very least use upscaling or frame generation in order for you get a decent framerate.
This is the best monitor for its price. If you want something bigger than 28 inches or a lightning fast response time, then you will need to spend several hundred dollars. It's an excellent entry point for 4K gaming.
