A new demo is available for the sequel to one of gaming's best-loved murder mystery games.

The Case of the Golden Idol, a gruesome, innovative and fascinating mystery game, is one of my favorites of all time. The murders you must solve are satisfying to solve as you examine all the details and search crime scenes for clues. You can even take items from the pockets of the suspects. And the story that ties all the murders together with the mysterious relics is worth its own page-turning book.

A sequel is in the works! The Rise of the Golden Idol takes us back to the 1970s to experience another round of brutal crimes. We don't have long to wait before we can get our hands dirty. Color Gray Games and publisher Playstack announced a release schedule, and it is less than a month away. The Rise of the Golden Idol will be released on November 12. Here's a sneak peek at the bizarre crimes that await.

As a famous detective would say... one more thing. You can also download a new "extended demo" on Steam to start solving your first few cases. The new demo contains everything from the original demo plus an additional murder. What are you doing today on your lunch break?
