After the success and popularity of Silent Hill 2, Bloober Team has created an original sci-fi horror film, Cronos: The New Dawn.

Cronos: The New Dawn is the first project that Bloober Team will tackle after the success of Silent Hill 2. It is expected to be released in 2025. This will be a mature-rated sci fi survival horror game where players will explore a postapocalyptic world in 1980s Poland.

In a press statement, CEO Piotr Babyieno said: "Following Silent Hill 2's success, we are proud to introduce Cronos, a new exciting IP from Bloober team." "Our commitment to redefining horror genre continues with this survival horror title. It represents a natural progression in our creative vision and studio's strategies. Cronos promises a new survival experience by combining the eerie atmosphere and potential of science fiction with the eerie ambience of horror.

The cinematic trailer of Cronos: The New Dawn that was shown at the Xbox Partner Preview is interesting, but doesn't reveal too much about the game. The Traveler, a character dressed in what appears to be sci-fi diving armor, looks badass. I get the same feeling as Isaac Clarke when he walked around the USG Ishimura in Dead Space, watching them punch and shoot through hordes and hordes rotting zombies.

A press release states that players will assume the role of Traveler. This agent is tasked with extracting selected people who did not survive the apocalypse of the past. To complete the Collective's Mission, players will have to survive the deadly wasteland that has been created by the cataclysmic Change event, which is filled with monstrous creatures that will test players' combat skills.

At the end of this trailer, we can see what appears to be the Traveler removing someone. After losing a game of chess to an elderly lady, the protagonist gets out, pushes aside the chessboard, and opens a strange claw machine. They could also be about kill her, but i'm going to remain positive and say she's being taken to a safe place.

Cronos: The New Dawn marks Bloober Team’s first original IP in survival horror. I'm excited to see what this developer has planned for us. If you told me Bloober Team would be making an original horror title a few months back, I would have never noticed. I wasn't a big fan of Bloober Team's previous work in this genre, with The Medium and the Layers of Fear remake both falling flat for my taste. The new Silent Hill 2 remake, however, has given me at least a little confidence.
