Ben Starr, a FF16 player, will host the 42nd Golden Joystick Awards in November.
Since the dawning of time, humanity has asked the question: Which videogames are the best of the year according to a broad yet precise and sober array of categories? We're going to finally get our answer.
The Golden Joysticks will return on November 21st, live from London. The show's host has also been revealed. Ben Starr, FF16's Clive (dater of summons), will be the host of this year's event. This is a great chance to create new memes featuring his face.
If you missed the voting period at the beginning of the month, there is still time to make your voice heard. You can still cast your vote until Friday, November 1, 2018. You can vote for the Ultimate Game of the Year, which is probably the most important choice you will make in 2024. You'll have until November 8 to do so. After all, 8.4 million votes have already been cast. If you haven't done so already, you'd better fight for what is right.
This one is gonna be a screamer. Ben Starr will be joined by guest presenters such as Alex McKenna, Alix Regan, Neil Newbon, and Patricia Summersett, who will play Princess Zelda in, uh... Zelda. Monika Janowska, from CDPR, and Abubakar Salim, actor, game developer, and producer (AC: Origins Bayek, and bonafide House of the Dragon TV star) will also be in attendance.
These are only the guests who have been announced. Why not spend your 21st of November celebrating videogames, and see if anyone can come away with an armful of trophies like Swen Vincke this year? You know you want it.
