BioWare tested Dragon Age: The Veilguard for more than 200,000 test hours on PC. 'Getting the PC Experience just right was important to us'

BioWare, in anticipation of Dragon Age: The Veilguard's release, has revealed new details about the game. These include customizable controls, advanced options for display, and "Steam Native" features such as cloud saves, Remote Play, and verified functionality through Steam Deck.

The studio wrote: "The Dragon Age franchise began on PC and we wanted to ensure PC is a great platform to play our games." "Many BioWare employees are PC gamers themselves, and PCs accounted for 40% of our platform-testing effort. We spent over 200,000 hours testing performance and compatibility. We created a team dedicated to PC to ensure that we got the PC experience right.

For players who can't decide, you'll be able to seamlessly switch between controllers and keyboard/mouse in menus or during gameplay. You can also set up class-specific keybinds, so "your Rogue Rook" could use a different set of keybinds than your Warrior Rook, if that makes things easier. The Veilguard supports 21:9 ultrawide displays, including cinematics, via an optional "Cinematic Aspect Ratio". It also has uncapped framerates, full HDR, DLSS3 frame generation, DLSS3, FSR 2.2, XeSS scaling, and adjustable FOV.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard has been Steam Deck verified. This means that Valve has tested it to ensure that it is "fully functional" on mobile devices. It will also support Steam Cloud Saves and Remote Play. Electronic Arts, the publisher of Dragon Age: The Veilguard has confirmed that the Steam version will not require the EA App to launch. There will be an option for you to link your EA Account to the game if you wish, but this will be "completely voluntary."

BioWare has said that it will be revealing "more PC features" closer to the launch date. It seems odd to me that they would be concerned about PC performance options spoilers. They did it for penises so I suppose that anything is possible. Here's what we have so far:
