Deja vu? The best gaming laptop that I've personally tried keeps getting cheaper
This is me again with another recommendation of this OLED gaming notebook, which I would personally buy if in the market at the moment. Normally I wouldn't keep writing about the same laptop over and over, but for some reason that I can't figure out, the Asus ROG Zephyrus G16 is getting cheaper.
I don't know if Best Buy just has too many or if there was a pricing mix-up, but you can now pick one up for only $1,500. That's a ridiculous price for such a great machine.
I've owned, tested, and used some of the best gaming notebooks and I can honestly state that this is the best one I've ever had. To be completely honest, my review sample was the RTX-4090 version. That mega-GPU was too much for that super-slim chassis and needed to be throttled back.
This RTX model 4070 is the one I would buy. It's not the 140 W version, but it should still deliver fantastic performance. It pumps pixels to the best laptop display I've ever seen. It's a 1600p OLED screen with excellent colour reproduction and deep contrast. It also has a 240Hz refresh rate.
This is the best gaming laptop screen you can get right now.
The CPU department is also not lacking, with an Intel Core Ultra 9 with eight Efficient cores, six Performance cores, and 16 GB LPDDR5X-6400, as well as a 1 TB Solid State Drive. This laptop's specs are very neat and tidy. It is a laptop which defines the word "refined".
It's a great daily driver. It's sleek, slim, and lightweight. I kept mine in my bag and brought it to the office every day. It feels like a whole new generation of laptops compared to the ones I've used over the years. It's easy to use on the train, in planes or even cars. It's a lightweight wonder with a milled aluminum chassis that feels premium.
This is why I cannot figure out the price. It's difficult to recommend something else when you have this kind of money. I would have mine back in an instant, and I'd invest my personal funds into a gaming computer right now.
