Photo modes aren’t my thing. I think I have enough printscreen buttons. But some people love them: Take, for instance, the joy that weekend editor Jody Mcgregor has in making Titus make silly faces in Space Marine 2! For those who enjoy Dragon Age, and in particular those who are also Dragon Age enthusiasts, there is some good news. According to IGN, Dragon Age: The Veilguard has a full-featured photo mode.
It's not surprising that this will be the first Dragon Age to feature a photo mode. The previous Dragon Age was released 10 years ago and photo modes weren't a thing. BioWare doesn't mess around with the photo mode in Veilguard. It will include:
- Free-roaming Camera, Tilt, Focal Length, and Lens Distortion
- Depth Of Field
- Auto Focus
- Distance
- F Stop, which allows you to control the lighting
- Vignette Mode, which darkens and darkens the edges of the screen to give it a cinematic look
- Bloom strength
- Saturation and brightness
- The ability of hiding the player, the group, enemies or NPCs
Corrine Busche, Dragon Age: The Veilguard's director, said that she liked the option to hide characters. "So hide character, hide party, hide enemies, hide NPCs. You can curate the shot exactly to your liking. You might be fighting a dragon but there is a character blocking the way. You can remove them.
Busche said that the credit for Veilguard’s photo mode is primarily due to Brenon, the technical designer of Mass Effect: Legendary Edition. This series introduced a photo feature. Busche said that Holmes not only designed the feature but also did a great deal of work to support it.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard would be a great game to have a photo mode. With all the beautiful fantasy vistas, exotic magic, and stunning scenery, I'm sure we'll get some awesome photos soon after the release of the game. There's a lot of excitement for it right now:
Dragon Age: Veilguard is released on October 31.
