Dragon Age: Veilguard's latest update allows players to use the arrow keys for movement.
A new patch is now available on Steam for Dragon Age: Veilguard. It contains dozens of bug fixes, as well as a number quality-of-life improvements, such as the ability to use arrow keys for movement instead of WASD.
It might seem like a small thing, yet for some it's a major issue. The problem is that WASD layouts can be difficult or impossible to use for some players because they are surrounded by so many other keys. As Veilguard's Tim Zandbergen said earlier this month: "WASD would cause my arm to press all sorts of other buttons. Arrow keys are therefore 'key'." The EA forums and Steam have both been asking players to remap the movement controls to the arrow keys. Previously, the arrow keys were used to move the map. With this update, they can finally stop moving the maps and start moving their gams.
The patch also adds filters for Veilguard's Photo Mode and simplifies Photo Mode files to indicate the date of the shot. Some weapons now have new icons and a notification is displayed when the Crossroads Spirit Merchant becomes available.
The bug fixes include "Rook's Body Shape no longer Changes Unexpectedly" which is something Rook would appreciate. "An odd facial expression when Rook meets Emmrich for the first time" has been adjusted to be less strange, another W for Rookster. The bug-fixes include instances where music "incorrectly stopped playing" or started playing when it was not supposed to.
BioWare stated in the patch notes, "we'll be having another patch to discuss more about soon." Below are the full patch notes:
