Elon Musk may be the world's best Diablo 4 player: 'So much can be learned from speedrunning games on maximum difficulty'

Elon Musk is a lot of things. The world's most annoying Twitterer. A wannabe Martian. The guy who is partially responsible for Donald Trump’s impending return. If his bid is accepted, he will be the best Diablo player in the entire world.

Musk's love for Diablo is well-documented. He's obsessed. He's obsessed. He was ranked #19 in the Helltides leaderboard at the time for his time spent in the Pit, the dungeon which has become a measure of player skill.

Since then, Musk has dropped to #44. He's no doubt been busy threatening America with the Department of Government Efficiency. You'd think it. Dexerto spotted him in Sanctuary yesterday and it appears he is still very invested in the Diablo Leaderboard.

Musk posted a video on Twitter showing off a run in which he cleared the Pit's max tier (150). He did this in less than two minutes. The video is accompanied with some bonkers nonsense, such as: "So many lessons to be learnt from speedrunning videogames on maximum difficulty." Teach you to see the matrix rather than just exist in the matrix. Diablo Tier 150 completed in under 2 minutes."

He ends the tweet with a level of cringe that would make Michael Scott blush -- the cherry on top.

Resistance currently holds the top spot with a time 1:59. Musk's run will be accepted (and I can't see any reason why it wouldn't), and the CEO, kingmaker, will jump from #44 up to #1 with what is a pretty impressive leap. He cleared the Pit around the 1:50 mark.

Musk is not taking advantage of any sneaky exploit. Look at the leaderboard and you'll notice that Spiritborn is the only class on the list. Blizzard is letting players enjoy the power of Spiritborn builds and the class. A nerf is coming.

Musk would be the most ideal outcome of all of this if he gave up on cars, Mars and politics, as well as social media, to pursue his true passion, which is being very good at Diablo 4 - a game he loves. The world would be much safer. So come on, Elon. Why not try and shave a few more seconds off this record.
