GOG will be delisting 29 titles in September. You have 12 days to grab those you want and 2 days to grab those you don't.

GOG dot com (purveyor of old and beautiful things) has announced that 29 titles will be leaving its store in September. (via GamingOnLinux). Four games by Adult Swim will disappear on September 30 and 25 games from publisher Meridian4 will vanish in two days. On September 20 at 6am PDT /9am EDT /1pm UTC /2pm BST.

The good news--and I'm not trying to be disrespectful of the developers--is that you probably aren’t too bothered by the Meridian4 games. I'm not familiar with any of the 25 titles that the publisher is leaving GOG. The majority of titles don't have the reviews needed to be rated in GOG's system. Those that do have enough reviews are not generally well-regarded. You can see the full list below, but it's games like Creepy Tale 3 or Viruz that are being delisted. I'm sorry to see them go but it's more for preservationist reasons than anything else.

Adult Swim's games are now more recognizable. In 12 days, Westerado: Double Barrelled will be leaving GOG, at least for the moment. We like some of them, and it is both sad and mysterious to see them disappear from a popular storefront.

I've contacted GOG for more information on why the games have been delisted (it is likely to be due to the recent tumult surrounding Adult Swim for these games) and if they will return. I'll update the article if I learn more.

GOG's announcement of the delistings is a pretty depressing one. GOG's spokesperson apologizes for the bad news about Adult Swim. "We'll try our best to bring them back."

The Meridian4 delistings don't seem to be very hopeful. The same GOG spokesperson says, "I have some sad news to share. As much as it hurts me to do so, I must," before listing each game saying goodbye. "I know that you hate to hear it. "The same goes for us."

If you've wanted to get any of these games on GOG, or if--like myself--you're just compelled to collect them, you have two days to grab everything on the Meridian4 List and about 12 for the Adult Swim stuff. Here's the full list of all delisted items:
