Here's a fun social deduction game to find out who is slacking at work
This past week, an indie social game named Dale & Dawson Stationery Supplies has been gaining a lot of attention on Steam. The game casts players as managers and experts in an office, trying to get their work done, while rooting out slackers who will ensure that productivity is down the toilet and the business goes bankrupt.
It may seem simple, but there is a lot of sauce in this game. With 1,292 Steam reviews since its release on August 30, 95% are positive.
The manager's job is to ensure that the specialists are doing their work, while catching any slackers. He also has to deal with any office disasters like fires in wastebaskets. The specialists are expected to keep the office running smoothly and to narc any slackers that they see not working.
Slackers are the ones who do this. They have nothing but unproductive tasks to do and spend their days playing minesweeper or doodles in paint, taking coffee breaks, setting things on fire, pooping, smoking, etc. The slackers are the ones who win because they cause most of the work to be slack, and don't get voted out at meetings.
Dale and Dawsome updated yesterday, adding a fourth map for the office to play on as well as support for ultrawide. The developers promise regular updates "to keep the gameplay fresh and exciting" in the future.
Dale & Dawson Stationery Supplies is available on Steam for just $8.
