Humble Bundle has just released a ridiculous offer that includes more D&D adventures than you will ever have time to enjoy.
Humble Bundle, Bundle Of Holding and other bundles of books are the cheapest way to build a library of books for Dungeons and Dragons or other tabletop RPGs. The latest truckload PDFs available for a pittance include a spread of D&D adventures and supplements from Goodman Games. 35 books, plus VTT goodies are available for only $18 / 13.66 PS.
Goodman Games' Dungeon Crawl Classics is a popular RPG that harkens back to the days of D&D. I haven't yet played any of these D&D adventures, but I've enjoyed their work on DCC. Based on the previews, they seem to have the same charmingly vintage artwork, useful maps and creatively bizarre ideas. I'm confident in predicting these books will be fun.
This recommendation is especially important if you are looking for settings and adventures that have a different feel than Wizards of the Coast first-party products. Expect less clean, contemporary fantasy and more gonzo, sword-and-sorcery.
As always, there are several different tiers. The top tier, at $30/PS22.77, includes a softcover of Crypt of the Devil Lich on top of all the pdfs. Be careful of the shipping charges, which are hidden more than I would like. If you live in the US, please add an additional $13. If you live outside the US, God have mercy on you. Estimates like $55 for Canada or $70 for UK and EU are unaffordable for a single book.
I would recommend sticking to the digital-only tiers for maximum savings. The $18/PS13.66 tier offers a great deal. You get everything except the physical book. It'll take a while to finish all of those adventures. The $10 / 7.59 PS tier gives you 17 adventures in total (plus a voucher for another Goodman Games order)--they are older adventures but still a great deal.
The cheapest tier gives you four adventures for only $1 / £0.75. This is so close to free that you should consider it if you want to complete your collection.
These books were written with the 2014 D&D 5e version in mind. With the new version of D&D 5e out this year, these books will be a bit outdated. The new D&D books are designed to be as backwards compatible as possible. This means that the majority of content should still work and any conflicts should be easily fixed. Don't let this stop you from buying the books if you enjoy what you see.
You're done! Next time someone blows the TTRPG bundle horn, I'll be back to read more PDFs.
