I set $5 as a maximum price arbitrary while browsing GOG’s Halloween Sale and the number of great games I got really surprised me.
Halloween sales are in full swing. GOG's Halloween sale began today. It's not the biggest, but it is still a good one.
GOG is a great place to find older and obscure games. Many of them are priced very low. When the sales are on, I like to push its price-range slider all the way down to see what's available for, say, less than five dollars. It's actually a lot.
I'll mention a few things that caught my attention:
- Harvey's New Eyes, the hilariously demented Edna & Harvey, is now only $2.
- The FPS FEAR Platinum is only $1
- Frostpunk original is now only $3
- Her Story, the outstanding narrative puzzler, is only $1
- The puzzler Magrunner Dark Pulse, which I liked a lot, is only $2
- Long Journey Home, the underrated space simulator, is now only $1
- Deus Ex Human Revolution Director's cut is $3
- Far: Lone Sails costs $2
- Batman: Arkham is less than five dollars.
- Hob (so Good) is $3
The list is endless.
These games are not all Halloween-themed, but they share the same characteristic: They're really good games at really low prices. It's always worth checking around or using a website like isthereanydeal.com to make sure you get the best deal. However, some of these prices are hard to beat.
GOG's Halloween Sale has begun and will run until November 4.
