This is a portable gaming powerhouse with a RTX 4080 GPU and a beefy Intel Core i913900H processor. The tech isn't much different, and I would buy one in a heartbeat.

We've found some great gaming laptop deals during this Prime Day sale period. I've been like an excited child picking out the best ones. With my hand on my chest, I can tell you that this one makes me itch the most.

PC Gamer is a huge fan of the Zephyrus G16, but we think this slightly older Asus ROG Zephyrus M16 still looks stunning. Best Buy has an RTX-4080 version that costs $1,900, which is a great price for any RTX-4080 gaming laptop.

If you can find a laptop with this GPU, it's usually a big, hulking machine that is better suited to replacing your desktop than a portable device. This super-slim, svelte laptop is everything you'd want in a gaming laptop: it's portable, gorgeous, and has a powerful gaming performance.

Look again at that sleek black chassis. It's not only professional looking enough to bring out in a business meeting, but also contains gaming components that will allow it to outpace other gaming laptops. You get a Core i9-13900H, one of the fastest CPUs that you can fit into a laptop chassis. It also comes with 16 GB DDR5-4800.

It's not the most RAM, nor is it the fastest, but it's still a decent amount compared to new machines. And unlike the G16, an extra 16GB SODIMM can be inserted into the free RAM slot.

Then there's the mobile RTX4080. Over the past few months, we've seen a lot of RTX-4090 laptops that were not worth the price. This GPU is too powerful for any mobile cooling system and drives the price way too high. We found this when we reviewed the RTX 4090 model of this machine. But what about the RTX 4080 version? It's a lot more impressive, and it is a truly amazing mobile GPU.

This 16-inch LED-backlit screen isn't as bright as the G16, but it still looks great. It also has a 240 Hz and a brightness rating of 1100 Nits, which will look fantastic beaming games at super-high frames rates directly into your eyes.

It's a good start, but I would still open it up and add a cheap Gen 4 2-TB drive later. It's still a good start and you can leave it as is to enjoy excellent performance and portability straight out of the package.

The laptop I want to take on my next flight, in my bag, at my desk and on my desk. The G16 is so desirable that it's practically on fire, but the RTX 4080 is still a bit expensive at $2300. But what about this M16? The price is right and so is everything else.
