" data-widget-type="deal" data-render-type="editorial">I finally did it. I finally did it. On a hot August day, I threw out the rotting carcass of a gaming headphone I had worn for far too long. I welcomed a pair of cans to my life. I decided to try the Sony Inzone Wireless Headset, a relatively new hardware line from Sony. It feels like it was made for its new identity of being both a console maker and PC game maker. They are sleek, considering they have a plastic body and no PlayStation branding. They also come in black. I like them more and more each day. They're currently on sale for Prime Day in October.

The Inzone H5, which I'm wearing now, is currently $21 cheaper on Amazon, at $128.99. This is the perfect price for a wireless headphone. The H9 set (currently $30 off) is more expensive and has more features, but the wired H3 is cheaper. They do everything I want.
The H5 uses the same dongle as my old Blacksharks and they sound exactly the same. The headset's microphone is criticized in our 80% review, and there's no defense. It's not great, but it's not much worse than the Discord friends that haven't switched yet to free-standing mics (I switched years back, highly recommend it).
My coworkers suggested to me for years that since I already had a separate microphone, I should get some audiophile headphones. This is a good idea. But I prefer the simplicity of wireless and these Inzones also double as my PS5 headset when I play light night couch games.
