In its first week, Farming Simulator 25, harvested 2 million players
Farming Simulator has proved time and again that it is mainstream. Farming Simulator launched a week ago, and it has already attracted more than 2 million players across all platforms. The sim attracted more than 125,000 concurrent Steam players the day it was launched.
The Farming Simulator Series has been around since 2008.
Giants Software stated in an email to PC Gamer that Farming Simulator 25 was their most successful launch ever. It also noted that FS 25 had surpassed the sales of Farming Simulator 22 which sold 1.5 millions copies in its first seven days. The entire series has sold more than 40 million copies. That's a lot of farmers.
Farming Simulator 25 received "Mixed Reviews" on Steam at first, but now it is rated "Mostly Positive." Early complaints stated that the sim didn't provide the more complex and deeper sim experience fans were hoping for. However, most players seemed to be happy with new features such as weather systems and ground distortion.
I'm ashamed to admit I haven't yet played it myself. I really enjoyed Farming Simulator 22, but I plan to jump into it once I have more time. Maybe after I check out Microsoft Flight Simulator, a big sim game launching in this week. It's struggling to get off the ground.
