Karate Survivor is a roguelite horde battling game inspired by action movies from the 80s. You can customize and combine your own combo sequences of attacks to create a punchy arrangement that's all yours. The five levels of the game are fast-paced, and you'll need to use your environment as well as your attacks to defeat your enemies.
You can really use the world around. Which I love. I've seen chairs and microwaves used as weapons, along with scaffolds, water tanks, mops, a ton of tuna, cement mixers and more. This is on top of all the different attacks you earn, which you can then slot into your own custom combo as you level up at each level.
Developers Alawar also announced that, though it hasn't been officially approved by Valve as yet, Karate Survivor will also be working on Steam Deck.
Alawar said, "We've optimized Karate Survivor from the beginning to ensure a smooth gaming experience on the Steam Deck." It stated that all UI, menus and icons should be scaled correctly, that performance should be good and that Karate Survivor has been designed top-down to accommodate gamepads.
