Mafia 4 is officially revealed as Mafia The Old Country, which takes place in 1900s Sicily at the time of the 'origins' of the mafia.

Gamescom Opening Night Live concluded with "just one thing ..." this year" and it was a big reveal: the first new Mafia game since 2016. It is set to release in the year 2025.

Nick Baynes, the president of Take-Two's Hangar 13 development studio, said that Mafia The Old Country was "a thrilling story in 1900s Sicily, during the beginnings of the mafia." Baynes did not go into details, but he said that the Old Country "returns to the roots of the Mafia series, crafting a linear narrative with a classic mob movie feel."

Hangar 13 will show more of Mafia The Old Country by December. There's not a lot more information available at the moment, but the YouTube description of the trailer suggests that you will "uncover the roots of organized crime" in this sequel. Could you be the first ever crime family don?

The trailer promises to "fight to survive in this dangerous, unforgiving age with action brought alive by the authentic realism of the Mafia series and the rich storytelling it is known for." We loved Mafia 2’s Empire Bay.
