Magicraft is a mix of Brotato and Hades, where you have to make all your weapons as you go.

This week, a new action roguelike was released that allows you to customize your attack by combining different effects in one weapon. Magicraft's wands have slots that you can fill with spells or spell modifiers. These will trigger in order from left to right every time you click. You can customize the basic setup to get, in the words of the developers:

"Ultra high degrees of freedom [that] can't even be exhausted by the developers."

You can make something that the developers have never seen, simply by using 100 different wands and 100 different spells. You might even create something that no one else has ever done. Demonstration allows you to see the potential of the game.

Magicraft has five chapters. The first four are similar to the Hades room-and boss structure where you fight minibosses and bosses, but select the rooms and rewards that come before and after those fights. The fifth chapter is a complete change, throwing you into a rush of bosses with your completed build.

Wave Games, the developer of Magicraft, has released a number of dating sims, as well as an indie rhythm game called Musynx. It's published in China by streaming giant Bilibili.

Magicraft is available on Steam for $16. However, it's currently 20% off until November 15th. It's available in a package with another game, Warm Snow, which is often referred to as "Chinese Hades".
