My day has been ruined because a redditor's computer was infested with '50-100' baby spiders.

I'll tell you a secret, Internet: I don't like spiders. I wouldn't call myself an arachnophobe but I am fine with spiders as long as they stay outside. You know, outside, where spiders should live, and not inside your house.

They don't belong anywhere near my PC. This is why I was horrified by the photos posted on Reddit by Duck_Shover showing what appears to be a spider infestation in the PC case. The title of the post read: "It seems there was a Spider Egg in my Computer, any Advice?"

Duck_Shover, yes, I have some advice for you: take it outside and set it on fire, then move immediately. Duck_Shover was contacted for comment and this is what they said:

"When I posted this, I assumed that there would be a lot more inside. I always assumed that the spider eggs are always filled with hundreds or even thousands baby spiders.

"However, I think that the egg was on top and the spiders were the majority (around 50-100 in total). "When I disassembled the PC, I only found 2 more."

I think there was a spider's egg in my computer. Any advice? From r/mildlyinfuriating

Oh, okay. This isn't an example of a PC that has been infested by baby spiders. It's a PC that has up to 100 crawling around on the outside. This is a minor annoyance. Duck_Shover's removal methods are much more calm and collected compared to my suggestion.

"Because the panels were mostly on the exterior, I was able to easily remove them and vacuum them off. Then, I gave everything a good wiping down.

"Of course I also had to wash all my bedding, and some just-cleaned clothes I'd put on my bed the morning before to put away at home."

That was very thoughtful. One can assume that Duck_Shover, our brave Duck, has not had any spider-related incidents in the past. However, if it were me I would be disassembling my home piece by piece in order to find the spider mother.

I know I have a serious problem. This is a story of triumphing over adversity. We can assume that this PC is now running smoothly, spider-free. If you need to reach me, I will be muttering and rocking in the bath. Check your gear, people. Who knows what creatures may be lurking in the area...
