I spent the morning searching online to see if there was a gaming computer with an RTX 4000 Ti Super that was cheaper than this Alienware. So far, I've been unable to find a cheaper gaming PC with an RTX 4070 Ti Super. It's worth looking into if you're looking for a machine that's already been built.

Dell's website has the Alienware Aurora R16 gaming desktop for $1,700, which is $400 off the normal asking price.

This price includes a Core i7-14700F and a RTX 4070Ti Super graphics card, which is probably the most sensiblehigh end Nvidia GPU. This is a high-end combination capable of delivering a lot of frames at 1440p and 4K gaming.

It also comes with 16 GB DDR5-5600 - though I would have preferred 32 GB for this price - a 1TB SSD and a 1,000-watt power supply. This machine is liquid cooled as well, despite an image of its innards that suggests otherwise.

We tend to stick by our advice that you shouldn’t buy an Alienware until it is marked down significantly. Proprietary components make upgrades difficult or impossible (even memory would require a new kit as there are only 2 DIMM slots). You can buy completelyregular PCs for about the same price. While this Alienware was the cheapest, I found another worthy competitor for those on the market.

Newegg is selling the ABS Tempest Aqua for $1,750. It is equipped with an RTX4070 Ti Super, Intel Core i714700F, 32 GB DDR5-6000, and a 1 TB Solid State Drive.

This ABS machine comes with 32 GB RAM, standard components and a lot of RGB for a little bit more than Alienware. It does save a few bucks compared to Alienware. For example, it uses an air cooler instead of a liquid cooler, and has a smaller 750W PSU. I'd pay the extra $50 to get the ABS machine. But if your budget is already stretched, the Alienware will still give you all of the important parts, and should yield similar frame rates.
