New method to circumvent Windows 11’s 'annoying system requirements' just came out
Windows 11 is still being adopted slowly. Many people are still using the popular Windows 10. Many people are of the opinion that "If it ain't broken, don't change it" and dislike the way Windows 11 tries selling you things like Xbox Game Pass and One Drive. Windows 11 also had some pretty strict system requirements. There are a few ways to get around them, including the newly-published tool.
Rufus, a free tool that allows you to ignore system requirements has been around for a while. However, a new method is now available and might be worth trying.
Flyby11, as spotted by Neowin, is the name of a program that you can download from GitHub. It "removes annoying restrictions that prevent you from installing Windows 11 24H2 on unsupported hardware". Windows 11 version 24H2 was the latest version of the software to be released outside of a Beta.
Flyby11, which is sarcastically described as "sneaking into the back door without anyone knowing", uses the Windows Server system to bypass hardware compatibility checks. The tool will install Windows 11 on your computer, regardless of the hardware.
It's important to note that this is a new method, and the GitHub repository has only been created on October 19, 2018. According to community feedback, this method has not had any major issues. However, one user said "No doubt, this coder will receive a lot more feedback and it'll get polished. Until then, I think I like Rufus."
Microsoft recommends the Rufus Windows 11 method, but only for compatible systems.
It is worth upgrading to Windows 11 as there is only a year left of support for Windows 10. After this, it may become a security issue to stay on Windows 10 because the platform will no longer receive security updates from Microsoft to handle new viruses and Windows Defender will not stay up to date for very long.
Windows 10 will no longer be supported. You can continue to use your current version, but any bugs that you find will remain. Security is also a major concern. Upgrade instead. You can now upgrade your system if the requirements were preventing you from upgrading.
