NVIDIA is bringing two major livestreaming upgrades with RTX & AI

Livestreaming is a big undertaking. You need to be able to stream your games, capture the footage and have a personality on screen that will entertain and attract audiences. You may still face some issues with stream quality, which could make it difficult for your audience to enjoy even the best streams.

Your upstream bandwidth as well as the downstream bandwidth of viewers can affect the quality of your streams. NVIDIA and Twitch have collaborated on Twitch Enhanced Broadcasting. This allows multiple video streams with different bitrates and resolutions to be sent by NVIDIA GeForce RTX computers or RTX Workstations. This ensures that viewers receive the highest quality video possible, regardless of their internet connection.

Twitch's Automatic Stream Configuation tool helps you find the best settings without you having to learn about different video codecs or bitrates, or test them out.

These streams will soon be even better. Twitch will soon add the HEVC encoder to its closed beta program for streamers. This codec is a great way to improve the NVIDIA encoder. It can provide a 25% improvement in efficiency, which directly translates to stream quality. The viewers will be able watch streams with higher quality and less artifacts, while still receiving the same bitrate. This means that more viewers will be able to enjoy higher-resolution, higher-frame-rate viewing.

Twitch Enhanced broadcasting is only the beginning of the enhancements you can make to your livestreams when using an NVIDIA GeForce RTX computer or workstation. The NVIDIA GeForce® RTX graphics cards can help you run games at a higher quality so that the gameplay looks great. NVIDIA Broadcast uses the AI power of the RTX graphics processors to enhance your stream without requiring special equipment.

NVIDIA Broadcast allows you to create virtual backgrounds for video captured with your webcam. You can blur the background, replace it, or place your game footage in front of you, as if you were behind a greenscreen. This effect is available without purchasing a greenscreen. The app can also make the camera pan and zoom so that it follows your face. It can adjust your eye position so that they always appear to look at the camera. It can also improve the quality of your video, even in dark settings, by running a noise-reduction program.

NVIDIA Broadcast also can't ignore audio. It offers enhancements to ensure that your voice is heard loud and clear. AI can be used to eliminate distracting background sounds. When you're in a quiet area, your own voice can create an echo. NVIDIA Broadcast’s Room Echo Removal Tool can help you in this case.

These features can be used to make a webcam and microphone work like a streaming setup with a gimbal mounted camera, green screen, and advanced audio setup.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPU users can download the NVIDIA Broadcast App for free.
