Peglin, the goblin pachinko roguelike, is now complete.

Some developers asked the question a couple of years ago: What if there was a roguelike deckbuilder-esque game where you could toss magic ball and be a goblin, but with the block-bustin action of Peggle? Peglin was the result. It has now reached its 1.0 release in 2024.

The 1.0 version adds four more levels to the Crucible. It also includes the ascending difficulty tiers, a miniboss and a relic. The Leshy boss, a particularly irritating early game enemy, has been reworked, along with a number of other balance adjustments that make Peglin less frustrating.

Peglin asks you to toss balls as a goblin to break pegs and defeat enemies. The twist is that the balls you use to throw have different effects, such as being extra bouncy, explosive or whatever. This custom-built bag becomes your arsenal of tools for taking out the enemies standing between Goblins and freedom.

Red Nexus Games, the developer, shared its excitement about the full release of the game on Steam.

"Our 2019 game-jam baby has exceeded our expectations in so many ways. It's a real pleasure to continue creating horriball puns and work on our favorite games. It was our dream to become full-time independent developers for a long time. We never expected that this little passion project would make that happen. But we are so glad it did," the statement said.

Peglin is available on Steam for just $20.
