PowerPlay mousepads are now at their lowest price ever, so you may never need to plug in your Logitech mouse again to charge it.

" data-widget-type="deal" data-render-type="editorial">The G PowerPlay mousepad from Logitech is one of the PC gaming products I wish would catch on to, primarily because cheaper options could enter the market.
The PowerPlay never happened and it was always too expensive for me recommend despite its genuinely usefulness for anyone using a Logitech compatible mouse. I can recommend it wholeheartedly at this price - its lowest ever price of just $87 on Amazon.

The pad's basic operation is simple: you simply swap your mouse's weight for a PowerPlay Charging Mousepad, which will then be receptive of being charged by an electromagnetic field created above its surface.
It will keep your mouse charged at 80-90% for as long as you leave it on the mousepad. It also replaces the mouse's connection with your PC. The mousepad is essentially its own giant dongle.
The only thing I didn't like about it was its size. It measures 321 mm by 344 mm. This is fine for most uses, but I wanted to use a big mousepad for low-sens Counter-Strike games. It was for this reason that I eventually put it on the shelf. Now that I don't play low-sensitivity games, I may return it to my desk on top of a nice desk mat.
The charging surface is under what I think are thinner versions of the Logitech G240 and G440 mousepads. (The former is soft, while the latter is hard). Both are included. These are my favorite mousepads and I would recommend them both.
Logitech states that it should work "with G502 Lightspeed G502 X Plus Pro X Superlight Gaming Mice and More". It is correct that "more" works with my Superlight. It should work with any Logitech wireless mouse that has the PowerPlay puck on its underside.
It's not worth $120 unless you are flush with cash and don't mind plugging in your mouse to charge. But at $87? It's still expensive, but a better deal. If you've been on the fence, now is the time to buy it.
