Prime Day 2024 is over but two of the best Dell gaming computers deals are still available.
I found two great laptop deals that are still available well past the official Prime Day sale period. Dell does things its way, so its G15 and G16 Gaming Laptops are still at the most discounted prices, and will likely remain that way for a little while longer.
The first is a fantastic RTX-4060 laptop at a budget price, while the second is a 240 Hz RTX-4070 gaming beastie that costs the same as a model with a lot less power. Prime Day or not, these two laptops still represent some of the best bargains you can find on portable gaming machines at any time.

Dell G15
Dell offers a gaming laptop with a RTX 4060 graphics card for only $850. RTX laptops are usually priced north of $1,000. The components are good for the price.
The Ryzen 7 7840HS chip is an eight-core, 16-thread processor with a maximum boost clock of 5.01 GHz. It should be able to keep up with the latest CPU requirements for games. It's a good mobile gaming CPU/RAM package, but it isn't the fastest memory available. In real-world gaming, it shouldn't make much difference. The GPU is going to be the one pumping pixels to that 165Hz screen.
It's the mobile RTX 4160, which isn’t exactly a screamer. It'll be able to keep that 1080p display fed and thanks DLSS 3 as well as the magic of Frame Generation, it should continue to be good enough for gaming on the move for a long time.
It's a chonky-boi, just like its more heavily specced sibling, but you get a gaming laptop that's worth a lot less than $1,000. This is a deal that's still worth mentioning if you ask my opinion.
Dell G16
This Dell gaming laptop has a spec sheet to die for. It features a 240 Hz, 1600p display with Intel's Core i9-13900HX processor. It also comes with a 140 W RTX-4070, although it is not the most compact or the prettiest of machines. If you're looking for something with a lot of power, the Dell G16 is a great option. Dell still sells this model for $1,300, and with the specs it has, it's an impressive laptop for that price.
The CPU is the Core i913900HX, a 24-core mobile megachip (eight performance, 16 efficient) with a 5.4 GHz turbo clock. This is still one of fastest processors you can find in a laptop, and it's pretty amazing to see one so cheap.
It's a full spec RTX 4070 that handles the graphics duties. It's a little much for a mobile RTX, but DLSS 3 is able to save the day. If you play competitive (and generally undemanding games) like Counter-Strike 2 or Deadlock, the card should be able crunch out frames quickly enough to really fly on this super-fast panel.
You get 16 GB, which is not particularly fast DDR5, but it's fine for real-world games. It's not a very pretty device and it has a lot of weight, but it is still portable enough to throw in a bag to take to work.
The price-performance ratio is excellent. Both laptops are so good for the money that it's nice to keep them at these prices. Prime Day is over, but these two laptops show that cheap gaming laptops are still available.
