Prime Day has me genuinely shocked: This RTX Super gaming PC is less expensive than budget gaming PCs 4060 Ti
Yesterday, I highlighted the cheapest RTX gaming PC deal. I did expect to see an RTX Super gaming PC at the same price the next day. I am astonished, as I have never seen an RTX Super gaming PC for this price.
Skytech Blaze4 Mini has a CPU from two generations ago, and it has only 16 GB DDR4-3200 memory. It's still a 4070 super PC. For $1,100. You could put a steam-and cogwheel processor inside and I would still buy it. (Okay, you don't have to hold me to it.)
- Here's a list of all the October Prime Day PC Gaming deals!
The RTX 4070 Ti is about 30% faster than RTX 4060 Super. These are the PCs that this PC will be competing against. This October Prime Day was the first time 4070 builds were available at this price. Until recently, rigs with an RTX 4006 Ti were the only ones that could be found in this price range.
The Ryzen 7 CPU 5700 isn't a new one, but it's also not bad. It's enough to keep the Ryzen 7 5700 CPU churning frames. You'll only miss out on productivity tasks, such as compression and other CPU-intensive ones. It'll be fine for day-to-day work. Don't expect it to be a powerhouse workstation.
It's harder to justify the 16 GB of DDR4 RAM, which isn't the fastest. But again, if gaming is your priority, the sheer power of the 4070 Super will make up for it. RAM is also one of the easiest and cheapest components to upgrade. You could upgrade from this 16 GB kit to 32 GB DDR4-3600 later. These kits are currently selling for $60-65, so you won't need to spend a lot.
If you're looking for a PC that can do it all, then I would recommend something else. But this PC is designed for gamers who know what they want: gaming. This would be the pre-built rig that I'd choose if I wanted to get into gaming but on a budget. It's too good a deal for a 4070 Super to pass up.
