Prime Day is the perfect time to buy a 4K OLED gaming screen.

$829.99 Save $70 on $759.99 at Amazon It's amazing how much a letter can change, especially when it comes gaming monitors. Code names for monitors can be confusing, but this MAG 321UP is different from the MAG321UP XThis one has a refresh rate of 165 Hz instead of 240. This is the only difference in price between this panel and an OLED. Otherwise, you get a 4K panel with response times that are to die for and pixel quality to live for. If you don't care about the difference in refresh rate (and do you own the hardware necessary to achieve a matching 240 frames per second otherwise? ), then this is the place where you should spend your OLED money. This is where smart OLED money should be spent.

MSI is the brand that has pushed the hardest to bring OLED gaming monitors into the affordable range. MSI has a top-end MPG321URX that costs over $1,200 and a MAG321UPX that is around $900. But it also released a $800 version of the same panel with some bells and whistles turned down.

The October Prime Day, which is inexplicably referred to as Big Deal Days, offers the best gaming monitor deals around. Amazon has the MSI MAG 321UP for $760 today. One of the few problems with MSI's affordable OLEDs are that they are out of stock just like energy drinks targeted at preteens. Newegg, which also sells the screen at $760, is another option.

If you don't want to further enrich Jeff's wallet, you can choose another option.

What are you missing with this cheaper model then? The main difference between the MSI 32-inch OLEDs and this one is that it has a 165Hz refresh rate, instead of 240Hz. At 4K, it's not a big deal to compromise on the QD-OLED display.

I'd also say that to get the most out a 240Hz refresh rate in-game, you'll need some serious graphics hardware. You're already doing well if you can match 165 Hz to your 4K frame rate.

The difference is in the USB Type-C power delivery. The top-end screen has 90 W USB Type-C Power Delivery, the middle-order one has 15W USB Type-C Power Delivery, and this one doesn't.

But do you care if your gaming desktop is plugged into it?
