Roblox's Dress to Impress is getting a spooky update for Halloween with over 30 haunting haircuts and a pose which will scare me for life

I'd lie if I said that Roblox's dress up game Dress to Impress hasn't consumed my life in the past few weeks. The upcoming Halloween event will only push me deeper into the rabbit hole. We don't yet know the exact date that this Halloween update will be released. One of the developers revealed in the official Dress to Impress Discord, that the update will be released this week or at the very least next week.

There's so much to look forward to. New seasonal patterns, new hairstyles and accessories, codes for redemption, plus more than 30 new styles are all included. The exciting addition of the broomstick will no doubt be used in many outfits during the first few days after the update. The most intriguing and haunting part of the update is the new pose.

When activated, your Dress to Impress avatar will raise their arms as if they were a marionette. Your character's head will tilt, and your knees will buckle giving the impression that you are being held up with a string. In writing, it may not sound scary, but once you see the avatar moving and how lifeless it looks, it's pretty frightening. You can create a really unsettling look with the right outfit and makeup.

The puppet pose is just one of many poses that will be added to the Halloween update. I can only imagine how much creepier they will become. I've heard online rumblings of a pose where you extend your legs and stretch your arms to the floor, but I haven’t seen any official announcements so I don’t want to start preparing my holy water and sage to banish whatever evil is involved just yet. If this is the case, then I am prepared to have nightmares with Dress to Impress avatars following me.

New makeup will also be arriving, aside from poses. I'm working on some eyeshadow looks with stars, rhinestones, and little ghosts. This will help me break away from my usual two looks. Two full-face makeovers will also be added. One with a bold lip and running mascara over a red base and the other with a white witch look featuring veiny branches and a purple lips. Finally, we're bringing you Halloween looks that aren’t just the Corpse Bride design.

We're not just getting new clothes, makeup and poses. A completely redesigned runway will be coming to get us in the mood for the season. The runway, which was first shared with X, will look like the halls of an ancient cathedral. The catwalk will be the aisle. It's not spooky as I expected, but it's a cool alternative to my usual clinically white runway.

The short version is that there's a lot of excitement about the upcoming Halloween update. And it sounds like it will be here sooner than later. There's always something new to take advantage of, whether you're looking to create a creepy pose that I'll undoubtedly rate one star for out of fear or a spooky look that will win first place. I'm eager to see what I can create, but I know I'll be at the bottom of the list. I'm having a good time, and that is what counts.
