Prime Day offers a discount of up to $37 on these two ROG gaming keyboards that cover the majority of PC gamers' needs.

The ROG Falchion RX Low Profile and ROG Scope II 96 wireless have transformed Asus into a leader in the gaming keyboard business. They're also a little cheaper during October Prime Day.

I looked around and found that the ROG Strix Scope II 96 Wireless is available at Amazon for the lowest price. It's $142 if you are a Prime member, or $150 if you don't have a subscription.

This is what we think. Best gaming keyboardIt's a great keyboard for PC gamers, thanks to its excellent sound dampening and keyfeel. It is small and has hot-swappable switch, which are two features many PC gamers want today. We think it's worth the full price and can recommend it even at $20 off.

It's not too unusual to see a $150 price tag. It happens every now and then. The Falchion might be able to convince you if you're not convinced by this $8 discount.

The ROG Falchion RX low profile offers the biggest discount. One of my main concerns with this 60%-sized keyboard was its $170 original price. This is a lot considering how few keys are available. Thankfully, it's now available for much less. Newegg is selling it for $130, which is a $40 savings. Plus, there's no need for Prime membership. Take that, Amazon!

Even without a sale, I would recommend these two keyboards. In fact, they are both listed in our guide of the best gaming keyboards. The Strix Scope II 96 is ranked number one and the Falchion is rated as the best low-profile keyboard.

I've used them both a lot and am very impressed. I gave the Strix Scope II 93% - I had to subtract a few points for the Armoury Crate App-- and the Falchion a respectable score of 88%. The secret to the success of both keyboards is 1) mechanical switches and (2) quality construction.

Different types of gamers are attracted to each.

Strix Scope is a great choice if you want a keyboard that can do it all. It's a great gift for PC gamers. The compact 96% layout keeps the most important keys close at hand, including a numeric keypad. This makes it a great tool for gaming, or entering numbers on spreadsheets. Unfortunately, my job requires me to do more of the latter.

The Falchion is the better choice if you have limited space, prefer low-profile for its easy ergonomics or tend to gesticulate with your mouse when gaming. All good reasons to get a 60% keyboard. The Falchion offers clever media control through a slider hidden at the rear. The first time I took it out of the box, I was not impressed. But I really liked it.

If you feel that this is too much money to spend on a tiny board, I can't really blame you. Could I then recommend our current favorite budget keyboard, the Mountain 60? It also scored a healthy 96% in our review.

The Everest 60 is a great keyboard that can be used as a base for any expandable keyboard. Hot-swappable switches allow you to swap them out as often as you like. It also has foam and silicone dampening, RGB lighting, thick keycaps and pre-lubricated switches.

Mountain 60 is now available for around $50. This is a fairly consistent price, not just on Prime Day. It's mechanical and offers RGB lighting as well as hot-swappable buttons. Just great value.
